What is a butterfly needle?

The butterfly needle is a safe intravenous infusion needle for clinical puncture and infusion. The purpose of the invention is to provide a butterfly-shaped intravenous infusion needle with a simple structure and the needle can be retracted into the needle sheath when discarded to avoid infection.

The safe butterfly-shaped intravenous infusion needle is composed of a needle with a butterfly handle and a safety shell. The safety shell has a hollow structure. The inner bottom of the safety shell and the tail of the needle with butterfly handle are respectively provided with mutually matching buckles and The card slot, after the infusion needle is discarded, the needle is pulled back through the butterfly-shaped wing, so that the needle can be retracted into the safety shell and locked by the buckle structure to prevent iatrogenic infections, thereby causing potential safety hazards.

The front part of the butterfly-shaped infusion needle base is open, the head has no annular protection ring, the middle part is provided with a clamping bar, and the needle tail of the butterfly handle is provided with a boss that matches the clamping bar of the base.

Butterfly needle consists of catheter assembly, needle tube assembly and infusion heads with different functions; the accessories of the catheter assembly include sleeve, rivet, sleeve seat, sleeve seat with interface, isolation plug, butterfly wing, extension tube, extension tube connector, Sheath, end cap.

The needle tube assembly accessories include a puncture needle, a needle seat, and a vent connector.

The infusion connector accessories have heparin caps, needleless connectors, and positive pressure needleless connectors.
